Pacific Pavingstone Announces a Green Solution to Patio Designs

08/04/2009

Permeable PaversPacific Pavingstone in partnership with Pacific Outdoor Living is proud to announce the recent development of its new rainwater harvesting system, now applied to patio pavers in their outstanding landscaping and patio designs! Permeable pavers are the wave of the future for concrete paver technology.

Permeable pavers are unlike normal pavers due to the fact that they have larger spaces between them, as well as a larger type of fill rather than the normal sand filler used between the concrete pavers. This allows water to flow easily between the patio pavers, which are then retained by a very thick and durable rubber liner. A pump is then installed inside the vault (liner underneath patio), and the retained water can then be pumped through your sprinklers or used for any other outdoor watering need you may have. Combined with an Ionization unit, the collected water can even be used for indoor use.

This new technology is coming out at just the right time for Southern California, due to the recent cutbacks on water usage. Water is the Earth’s most precious resource and Pacific Outdoor Living is 100% devoted to help do our part to reduce the excessive water-wasting prevelant in Southern California. This rainwater harvesting system is designed to recycle the water coming off rooftops through downspouts, which collects water from the total square footage of your roof and funnels it onto the permeable driveway, pouring the water down between the permeable pavers. This amount may be enough water to sufficiently be used for your entire garden all year round. In addition, this contributes to preventing extra run-off into our over-filled storm drains. Thousands of gallons can be recycled using this system, and the permeable pavers are designed so 100% of the water poured over the concrete pavers is retained, resulting in a 0% run-off.

This new technology is not only beneficial to the community and environment, but extremely beneficial to the homeowner as well. Here are some of the benefits of permeable pavers over concrete driveways.

  • Four Times Stronger
  • Various Designs to Choose From
  • Low Maintenance
  • Easy to Repair
  • Rainwater Harvesting
Permeable pavers are a wise investment as it greatly increases the value of your home! The beautiful look and usability of a permeable paver patio design in any home will result in being one of the most beautiful and beneficial purchases of a lifetime.
