Aquatic Algae - Is it a Good Tthing?
Aquatic algae, often thought of as pond scum, are in fact microscopic plants that grow in sunlit water that contains phosphates, nitrates, and other nutrients. Algae, like all aquatic plants, add oxygen to the water and are important in the fish food chain.

Parade of Ponds 2009
Los Angeles, CA May 12, 2009 - It’s time for Pacific Outdoor Living’s Parade of Ponds event! This year, the Parade of Ponds tour will be taking place on May 30-31. Parade of Ponds is a weekend long, self-guided tour of some of California Waterscapes most stunning and magnificent ponds. This year the event will consist of two tours; the San Gabriel Valley Tour and the Crescenta Valley tour. Tickets are $20 each and are good for admission on one or both of the tours.
